Our department has a number of opportunities for
individuals to assist their community. From serving as a full or part-time
employee dedicated to fighting fires and running medical calls; to volunteers
assisting us in getting our safety message out to the youth and patrons in the district. We most likely have a program where you can help.

Polar Plunge
Come join the fun at the annual Polar Plunge, sponsored by the Special Olympics Kansas. This years event will be held January 30, 2010 (weather permitting), with
registration starting at 10:00 a.m. As in the past, the SHFD Water Rescue will be assisting during the event. Come take the plunge, or join the crowd watching those that do.
