Today is a bittersweet day for many of us — past and present — at Shawnee Heights Fire District. As of 10:00am this morning, our crews are officially moved out of SHFD Station #21 (2626 SE Shawnee Heights Road) while this station is demolished and reconstructed.
Within these walls live memories — of joy, laughter, loss, hope, heartache — left behind by all who once called this place home. Station #21 has served its purpose, and with gratitude, we now welcome what comes next!
For the next 10-12 months, all of our operations will be out of Station #22 (211 SE Tecumseh Road). Thank you for the memories since January 1, 1979, “old” Station #21.
